About Us: Norse Foundry is a leading brand in the Tabletop / Roleplaying game industry, we are dedicated to crafting high-quality products that enhance the gaming experience of our customers. We are seeking a skilled Director of Operations to join our team and contribute to the development and launch of new products, manage crowdfunding campaigns, and support our events. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development & Crowdfunding:
    • Lead the development of tabletop and roleplaying game products from concept to launch, ensuring they align with Norse Foundry’s brand and values.
    • Conduct cost analysis, pricing, and logistics planning for products intended for crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter, Backerkit, Gamefound and others.
    • Manage and execute successful crowdfunding campaigns, including creating campaign strategies, overseeing timelines, and analyzing performance metrics.
    • Work with game designers, Writers and other contractors to create new games in the board game and roleplaying game segment. Manage the project and team from start to product launch. 
  2. Event & Convention Support:
    • Work closely with the events team to plan, organize, and execute events and conventions throughout the year that showcase Norse Foundry products.
    • Help with our charity efforts doing events and products that raise money for our official charities such as Extra Life and others. 
  3. Research & Market Expansion:
    • Research and identify new product categories within the tabletop and roleplaying game industry that present growth opportunities for the company.
    • Develop strategies to enter new markets, working closely with the product development and marketing teams.
  4. Brand Alignment & Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all products, packaging, and event materials meet Norse Foundry’s high standards for quality and ethical responsibility.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of Norse Foundry’s branding and core values, ensuring they are reflected in all operational activities.
  5. Additional Company Support - Our industry is a constantly in flux and these duties represent our needs at present, but they will continue to develop and change over time and the perfect candidate will be self-motivated to tackle these new challenges
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in product development, operations management, and crowdfunding within the gaming industry or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and logistics.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organization and time management skills. 
  • Experience in Game and/or RPG Project Design is preferred
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and ethical business practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Self-Starter – Can be given a task and complete tasks without needing to be micromanaged and able to work virtually without needing direction from manager.
  • Ability to project manage - plan, schedule and execute product releases over a year out.
  • Conventions and Shows will require physical requirements like travel, standing on feet, lifting heavy objects.
